My work moves between semi-abstract still lifes, gestural abstracts, and evolving explorations of light, place, and memory. Each series flows into the next, letting one idea ripple into another.​

 

Photography and observational sketches quietly inform the work, capturing subtle qualities of light, colour, and space that later emerge on canvas. In my abstracts, pigment and mark-making take the lead. Bold, intuitive gestures and layered colour explore rhythm, movement, and the joy of painting itself.​ Painting from memory rather than life, shapes, colour, and light are distilled and heightened. Using these elements I aim to create a sense of familiarity - moments that feel remembered rather than observed.​
