PAINTING
Across all my painting, the thread is the emotional resonance of colour and light, and the fleeting beauty of everyday life.
My work moves between semi-abstract still lives, gestural abstracts, and evolving explorations of the pulse of a moment. Each series flows into the next, letting one idea ripple into another.
Photography and observational sketches quietly inform the work, capturing details that later emerge on canvas. In my abstracts, pigment and mark-making take the lead playing with the sheer joy of painting itself.
Working from memory rather than life, shapes, colour, and light are distilled and heightened. Using these elements I aim to create a sense of familiarity - moments that feel remembered rather than observed.
