Across all my painting, the thread is the emotional resonance of colour and light, and the fleeting beauty of everyday life.

My work moves between semi-abstract still lives, abstracts, and responses to place -  evolving explorations of the pulse of a moment. Each series flows into the next, letting one idea ripple into another.​

Photography and observational sketches quietly inform the work, capturing details that later emerge on canvas. In my abstracts, pigment and mark-making take the lead playing with the sheer joy of painting itself.​

 

Working from memory rather than life, shapes, colour, and light are distilled and heightened. Using these elements I aim to create a sense of familiarity - moments that feel remembered rather than observed.​
