The Affordable Art Fair returns to Hampstead Heath and I will be showing on stand D9 as my gallery Lara Bowen Contemporary. Click below for more info on the fair or add LBCLV as a code in the ticket shop for free entry.
Then, throughout the other weekends in May I will be opening my studio and gallery as part of the West Hove trail for the Artists Open House. Please come and visit and see where I work. I'm having a mega tidy-up!
NEW PAINTNGS
Inspired by a quick trip to Spain in Autumn 2021 and following on from my abstract work featuring the colours from my Lockdown Colour Charts, these larger-scale paintings are full of freedom and light. They mark a new and exciting stage in my practice, tapping into a direct response to a place and time. They're all about happiness and gratitude and living in the moment.
The first few I showed have now all sold but I'm working on more and will post them here when they're ready.
The lovechild of contemporary lingo and our emotional connection with colour.
This project began as an idea in spring 2020 and is gathering momentum with every conversation. I have no idea where it is going but at the moment it is connecting me with other people and their experiences over the last 18 months which is truly inspiring.

GALLERY OPEN
I'll be opening my studio and gallery for the Artists Open Houses festival this May as part of the West Hove Arts Trail.
The gallery will also be open every Friday and Saturday from 11 am - 4 pm until October.
