As a child did you ever lie in the garden looking through a cardboard tube at the sunlight through the leaves? My circular paintings are inspired by these memories, full of gorgeous colours, and negative space on circular composition.
​
This workshop will encourage you to look closely at the shapes of both cut flowers and plants in the garden, through a viewfinder and with your phone camera and interpret them in inks and paints in a loose and semi-abstract style
​
We will be using viewfinders, phone cameras, inks, and various other media to make semi-abstract floral pieces on circular paper.
​
Due to the size of my studio, these one-day sessions will have a maximum of five participants. I can therefore offer a personalised and enriching experience, providing individual attention, feedback and tailored advice to support your artistic journey.
During this hands-on workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
Practice exercises to unlock our creativity, I will guide you through the basic principles and techniques of abstracting natural forms, catering to participants of all skill levels.
Explore your creativity: Experiment with exercises, various tools, and paints to bring your unique vision to life. Discover different approaches to composition and embrace the freedom of self-expression.

Engage in a supportive environment: Connect with fellow art enthusiasts, exchange ideas, and gain inspiration from like-minded individuals in a warm and encouraging atmosphere.

Take home your masterpiece: Leave the workshop with at least two stunning circular artworks created by your own hands - a lasting reminder of your creativity and newfound skills.

One-day workshops are £75 per person, which includes all necessary art supplies, tools, plus homemade cake and beverages. Please note that spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
